Picasso Yourself

  • Thelma Sadoff Center For The Arts 51 Sheboygan Street Fond du Lac, WI, 54935 United States (map)

Make fun mini art pieces and let your creativity run free!

Embark on a journey through the evolving self with our Picasso-inspired self-portrait class. Just as Picasso's work evolved through various periods, so does our perception of ourselves as we age. Abstract art offers a unique lens through which to explore the world, inviting you to step outside reality and into a realm of imagination and unfamiliarity.

No prior art experience is necessary to create your self-portrait masterpiece. In a serene environment filled with soothing essential oils and soft music, you'll have access to an array of art supplies to unleash your creativity. We encourage the use of mixed media to truly capture the essence of Picasso's style.

This class offers more than just artistic exploration; it provides a sanctuary for relaxation, self-care, and emotional regulation. Through quiet reflection and the utilization of effective coping skills such as art, breathing techniques, and moments of solitude, you'll have the freedom to express yourself authentically through your portrait. Before diving into your creation, a brief educational component will set the stage for your artistic journey. Parents are required to accompany children throughout the session, and individuals aged 12 and above are welcome. Regardless of age, anyone with a youthful spirit is invited to join us! Wear attire that can withstand a bit of artistic mess as you delve into this transformative experience.

Ages: 12+ with parent; 18+ welcome

Tickets: $15 per project
