“She helped me get back on track…”

I have failed many times and I’m not a person to ask for help but it seems whenever I needed help Janelle reached out to me to see how I was doing. With her positive, genuine caring voice I was continually motivated to continue my journey. It wasn’t easy to keep on track at times but I knew she was there to help me with our weekly sessions, and the small changes I made led to progress. She encouraged me to keep moving forward, not give up and do the best I could. She guided me as I modified goals, and I was able to overcome barriers and obstacles I faced and change my lifestyle.

My hope (with health coaching) was that I would be able to get out of the slump I was in, and get back into taking care of myself, exercising, eating better, etc. I felt when we had our sessions, making small realistic goals in combination with her reassurance that I could do it! It helped me a lot. I’m still working on setting small goals, and have the tools to keep on track. Before we met I was not interested in making goals only because I always failed at them. But to my surprise making smaller realistic goals and tweaking them until I have met them makes me feel proud that I really can accomplish them. Thank you!

I always looked forward to our sessions. They always gave me confidence, as she focused on my strengths with positive and affirming words. I knew I would succeed in anything if I would be willing to do the work and not to give up.

“Coaching has taught me to be happy with the small victories.”

Coaching made me accountable for the actions that were discussed in our sessions.  A lot of times I knew what I should do but without the coaching those things didn’t materialize as easily. 

I have been able to realize the choices I make are my own. I am now able to resist temptations that are in the home, document my food, and be honest with myself. I have learned to question my choices and look at what the calories are before I mindlessly eat something.  I choose now to make a healthy choice when I can.

I am proud that I was able to lose some weight (24.5 pounds in 4 months). The coaching has taught me to be happy with the small victories.

Achieved: Significant A1C LEVEL DROP 7.6 to 5.9 now in a normal range.  Glucose numbers have dropped from high hundreds 171 to over 200 to 90’s-104.

Expectations from my coach were clear and I knew the steps I needed to take to get there after each session. My doctor has been amazed at my changes!

My health coaches’ positive attitude, guidance, and accountability made all the difference.    I had the support on the journey.  She didn’t give up on me when I was still making some choices that weren’t the best.  I still have a hard time giving myself credit for it, just my personality, but I am making healthier choices and living a sustainable lifestyle.

I now feel motivated from the health coaching to keep going. Thank you Janelle!

“Coaching really changed the way I look at food, as a fuel and (as a) not as coping mechanism.”

I hoped to change my unhealthy lifestyle and get my overall health back on track.  My expectations were definitely met and I am happy with the results.  Coming up with workout routines was very beneficial during the coaching because I am never really sure what to do at the gym.

I have achieved some weight loss and my shirts are fitting much better.  I am also eating more healthy foods and making more health conscious decisions.

I enjoyed being held accountable every week to meet my goals. A major shift or insight that I gained was that, by making slight modifications to recipes with healthy options it doesn’t change the overall taste.

I really liked that Janelle had me look at goals as an experiments, then if the goal wasn’t achieved I didn’t feel like a failure. Together we modified the goal and she helped me find ways to overcome barriers and obstacles.

My overall confidence of myself has increased. I know I can have healthy meals at my fingertips and plan out my meals and activities for the week. It’s not only helped me, but my entire family.
