This 5-week, 31-day resistance training challenge is designed to progressively build and maintain lean muscle tissue over four weeks through a structured program of varied workouts.
Each week focuses on different muscle groups starting with foundational exercises and gradually increasing in difficulty, number of exercises, and intensity. The challenge incorporates strength training principles like progressive overload, varied exercises, and adequate recovery to optimize muscle strength and endurance.
You can work at 1 of 3 levels from Minnie Brown Bear (beginner), Middie Black Bear (intermediate) to Maxie Polar Bear (advanced). Weekly emails will support you; exercise handouts will guide you and videos will be sent via messenger to help you with the exercise form.
You will also be asked to reduce/eliminate foods with added sugar, processed food and fast food. Sugar defeats/impedes muscular changes as your body needs the building blocks of healthy fat, complex carbs and lean protein to rebuild and become more toned, lean and efficiently burning calories. To end the month, push back the sweet treats that fill your cupboards this time of year, and say no to the roller coaster of sugar highs and lows!
