Spring into Action

The stream at Hobb’s Woods in Fond du Lac, WI.

Winter is ending and Spring is right around the corner! I know the calendar has said Spring since March 20th, but the snow and cold have not allowed spring to push its warm air and buds out!

It is time to switch your exercise routine from winter and spring into action!  If you were indoors at a gym or enjoying outdoor sports like skiing, snow shoeing or winter hikes; you might need to change up your cardio as well as your strengthening routines.  It’s good to change it up and give your body variety, and a break from any one thing.  A winter snowshoe excursion can now become a mountain biking adventure.  An ice clawed winter hike can now become a backpacking search for signs of spring verses visiting ice sculptures on waterfalls.

Many parks have great trails with changes in incline to push your heart rate, and even stairs in some! The ones below are from Copper Falls State Park. Hobb’s Woods as picture above is full of wildflowers, hiking trails, bridges and streams to enjoy as you get in steps in and enjoy the outdoors during the spring.  If you’re interested in some fun ways to exercise using the stairs, email me! I’d love to chat with you and help you with a workout.
